Carme Trilla

President of the Barcelona Metropolitan Housing Observatory (O-HB) and President of Habitat3 Foundation

She is an economist specialising in the housing sector from social, economic and public-policy perspectives. From 2004 to 2011, she was director-general and secretary of Housing for the Government of Catalonia. She promoted the Catalan Act on the right to housing (18/2007) and the National Housing Pact 2007-2016. She has worked with Càritas Barcelona on social housing issues and to create the Housing Mediation Service. She currently heads up the Habitat3 Foundation, which manages more than 900 social housing units and is promoted by the Bureau of the Third Social Sector of Catalonia. She is on the Advisory Board for the Barcelona Neighbourhood Plan and leads the Barcelona Metropolitan Housing Observatory (O-HB), made up of all the public administrations that operate in this field.
