1. Inauguration of industrialized housing and cohousing exhibits

Tour and workshop to discover the exhibitions on industrialised housing and cohousing in Barcelona. These visits look at two trends in housing that share a desire to expand the stock of affordable housing in the fastest, most sustainable, and efficient way possible.

Meeting point: APROP Glòries (Carrer d’Irena Sendler 22-24, with Carrer de Badajoz).

2. Refurbishing public housing stock

Refurbishment is essential to a city, with a direct impact on people’s health, and is a key factor in making households more sustainable and efficient. The tour showcases an example of a refurbished building and explains the benefits this has brought to its residents.

Meeting point: Carrer de Trueba 27-29.

3. Housing discipline

Everything doesn’t go in housing. Housing is a basic necessity and as such both owners and residents must use it properly. So, the Disciplina team will explain how they tackle dishonest practices that infringe on people’s rights.

Meeting point: Pilar Florensa events room (IMHAB), Carrer d’Aiguader 24.

  17.00h:

4. Young people and access to housing

Young people are one of the groups with the greatest difficulty in finding housing. This talk aims to shed light on this issue and discuss potential solutions, as well as addressing the most common concerns.

Meeting point: Can Fabra, Carrer de Parellada 9

5. Service and guidance in evictions

Preventing and helping people through evictions is one of the key focal points for fighting the housing emergency. This workshop introduces us to the team working tirelessly to help families in this situation.

Meeting point: Pilar Florensa events room (IMHAB), Carrer d’Aiguader 24.

6. Refurbishing private housing stock

Faced with the need to encourage refurbishment, the city has inaugurated a new Municipal Renovation Office. The technicians will explain all the grants and programmes available, and we will get a first-hand look at a case of sustainable renovation from the architects involved.

Meeting point: Oficina de Rehabilitació Municipal (ORM), c. Pujades, 350.
